Indeed some of his designs, such as the Liane lights or Ours Polaire armchair, have become icons in the history of furniture.<\/p>\n<p>Through extensive texts, interviews, archival documents and images\u00a0(from the Jean Roy\u00e8re archive purchased by Jacques Lacoste,\u00a0but also from the Mus\u00e9e des Arts d\u00e9coratifs in Paris and the decorator\u2019s family archive), some 90 pieces are documented; each was displayed\u00a0in the exhibition, which included some previously unknown pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Jean Roy\u00e8re (1902-1981) initiated a style emancipated from conventions.
