An exceptional <strong>Polar Bear set (c<\/strong><strong>irca 1958)<\/strong> will be on display, comprising two armchairs and two footstools purchased directly from the first owner\u2019s relatives. Also on display will be a <strong>Sphere coffee table (c<\/strong><strong>irca 1951) <\/strong>and a <strong>Hedgehog floor lamp (c<\/strong><strong>irca 1949)<\/strong>, both also acquired from the descendants of their original owners.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A major figure in the history of 20th-century French decorative arts, <strong>Jean Roy\u00e8re (1902-1981) <\/strong>established himself in the line of great <em>ensembliers d\u00e9corateurs<\/em>. He was keen to come up with a holistic vision for each interior design project. Throughout his career and successive commissions he developed an elegant signature. From 1930 to the early 1970s he designed furniture and lighting in a great variety of styles.
