This is the first show Galerie Jacques Lacoste dedicates to Max Ingrand since 2009. It focuses on various aspects of his work from the 1930s-1940s to the 1960s, each of these periods being marked by significant achievements.
He ventured into all of its creative fields, ranging from stained glass to engraved glass, architecture and lighting. Ingrand constantly demonstrated a deep enthusiasm for research and the development of new techniques.
He had a fascination for light and colour, as well as for the diversity of textures and effects that could be achieved with glass. This resulted in an outstandingly rich production which is a hallmark in 20th century decorative arts. Max Ingrand was known as one of the major designers of his time. He deeply renewed the creative and technical approaches to glass, as well as overall design codes.
Throughout his career Max Ingrand experimented with different approaches to glass which was he chosen medium.
